Day 44 Outdoor Theatre in a Park, Miles Out of Town

By 22:00 on a Sunday night we found ourselves a half hour bus ride from the last train stop East of downtown Toronto. We were at the Guild Gardens. I’d spent the prior hour, during the second half of Moliere’s The Misanthrope batting gigantic mosquitos and worrying about the spattering rain; if it began to pour we wouldn’t make it to the uncovered bus-stop and onto a bus without getting drenched, and it was at least an hour by public transport home.  The actors onstage persevered.  What a great evening!
