We spent the day in Niagara, showing our family the falls. It’s nicer in fall, when the place isn’t crawling with other tourists. Mum and Dan bought silly furry hats. Anna drove Dan’s cousins back to Toronto. Dan drove us home, we dropped the rental car and rental tuxedos back. In the evening friends dropped over. Dan cooked chicken meatball soup. Simon & Dan dropped in, before they headed back to their hotel (Simon had an REB application to finalise). Albert came too; he’s off to Chicago for the weekend. Deanne and Vicki dropped by, with Bec & Alastair. Julian came upstairs. Mum and Aunty Gaye had gone shopping for groceries and spent the night in, downstairs in their suite. We didn’t hear from John and Helen. It was good to have our apartment full of friends, even if I needed matchsticks to keep my eyelids open. We ran out of bowls; Julian brought his own.
