I had dinner with Emma tonight, my baby sister’s Primary School classmate, who now lives in Dubai and is in Toronto for a few days on a stopover. I limped home from work (Julian convinced me to do a circuit this morning before work) and then back out to Chinatown where we planned to eat dim sum, for dinner. Emma got lost so I got a table and ordered and started eating; it was just like old times when our Mum’s would meet up for yum cha and whoever got there first would order and start eating. Maybe that didn’t happen. Nobody mistook us for siblings tonight though, as used to happen when we were kids. The restaurant was almost empty. It’s drizzly outside.
