I got up at six to get back into a routine of going to the exercise room downstairs before work. It was warm enough outside today to wear normal boots; the snow on the streets has melted again. Birds continue to chirp in the trees behind the building. I’m not sure when winter is actually going to start in earnest this year. Work wasn’t too busy; we kept on top of the CT list all day. Back in TGH CT for a few days. After rounds finished, late, I was ravenous and called Dan to meet me at Dundas for dinner. We had Thai at Salad King. When we got home we finally booked a trip we’ll call our “honeymoon”: a few days in Las Vegas/Nevada where we’ll drive or take a tour to the Grand Canyon, and hopefully Antelope Canyon too. Dan just rang his Dad; it’s tomorrow already in Australia, the four-year anniversary of his Mum’s death. Suddenly Toronto feels like the other side of the planet again.
