Sunday we had brunch with Lisa and Kirstie, a couple we met at Blue Mountain for Gay Ski Weekend. We ate at Smith, for the second Sunday in a row. I chose pancakes this time, and regular coffee. The food was again nothing of note but the conversation was unexpectedly animated (I don’t normally like to talk; a shared task such as a boardgame is more inviting). In the afternoon we caught the subway down and around to Osgoode with Bec & Royden (Pete met us there) to watch Kingsmen at Scotiabank. I wasn’t too keen on the film as the trailer had shown many explosions and there seemed to be little depth to characters. I was surprised though, as there were frequent comedic elements and several elegant shots, in between all the explosions. I really liked it. I left the cinema wanting to be a British spy in a suit.
