We needed to get up early to get driving today; I’d planned an impossible 35 hours driving from Las Vegas to Utah and Arizona and back to Nevada to try and see every rock formation and canyon in sight. It didn’t happen. We slept in, until 7am but then staggered about a bit to find food before our road trip. It’ll have to be a pictorial essay for now; I’ll have to fill in the gaps in transit tomorrow.
Part 1. Our rental car was upgraded to a choice between a Mustang and a Camaro. Dan’s Dad had a Camaro in his youth so we chose that. I was slightly disappointed as the Mustang was orange. After we spent an embarrassing amount of time trying to figure out how to open the roof (you have to have pulled out a cover in the boot first!) we set off, Thelma & Louise -esque Southward down Las Vegas Boulevard. I squealed with excitement.
