Day 738 Last On Call

It was  a long day.  My last on call was steady, and felt gruelling despite the total number of cases being typical.  When I left the hospital the ground was wet; it had rained.  I cycled home.  Halfway home the skies broke and a thunderstorm rolled in.  I was drenched.  My pager went off, TWH ED.  I stomped upstairs and called the hospital.  A request for a CT Chest.  And they’d paged the On Call Abdo Fellow.  So glad I’m leaving.
