It’s terribly inappropriate and a cultural atrocity but we often pronounce the names of our travel destinations using the closest sounding word that we already know. For example, in Delhi, the Temple of Hamuyan we pronounced as, “The Temple of Yum Yum”.  Today, “Orchomenos” became, “Orchidectomy”, on the road to disdiadokokinesis.  The monastery in Orchomenos was closed.  We walked around it and took photos.  Across the road we paid €2 to wander into the tholos and look at some neatly aligned ruins.  We searched for blocks that had different body parts: this one has a head, this one has feet, can anybody find the arms? Stray cats either wandered by or amused themselves.
